Shamilah obtained an LLB (Hons) at Hertfordshire University and successfully completed her Legal Practice Course at the College of Law. She joined the firm in 2010 as a Paralegal. She trained as a Solicitor at M & K Solicitors and was admitted to the roll on the 15th July 2014.
Shamilah specialises Immigration & Asylum Law and she is an Immigration and Asylum Level 2 Caseworker accredited by the Law Society. She deals with a range of complex immigration cases including asylum claims, leave to remain applications, entry clearance applications, naturalisation applications, European applications, in-country/ out of country appeals, fresh claims, Judicial Review applications and Court of Appeal Matters. She also deals with General Family Law work and has a great deal of experience within her fields.
Shamilah is described by colleagues as very organised and a good listener. She is experienced in dealing with vulnerable and destitute clients. Shamilah is fluent in speaking both Pahari and Urdu. In her spare time she enjoys swimming, travelling and spending time with her family.
